Re: CWE Accessibility & Casual Development

I agree there's some painful manual setup required for compiling Plasma on Windows. Ultimately, getting development dependencies and C++ projects set up in Windows is always a trying process. I think we're actually much better than a lot of projects in that we provide a devlibs.zip bundle specifical...

Re: MOULa Update, Feb 13, 2012

The plEncryptedStream random padding data does cause differences, and should be fixed. I believe the fix proposed by a'moaca' should fix half the problem. The other problem is inside the PRP files, as an example I took a binary diff of AhnonayCathedral_District_LinkRoom.prp: http://assets.openuru.or...

Re: Github for OU.org?

An internal point about the triad of Foundry, this website and Bitbucket is that multiple servers could be totally down but the managed repos and would almost certainly still be publicly available somewhere. While a central location is important for handling pull requests and such, the very nature ...

Re: Doxygen all the things!

I just wrote up Doxygen for hsThread as an example that might be useful for people: hsThread.h I think the standard practice is to keep the function comments in the .h file, so that anyone has a fairly-full API reference just by opening the .h file in an editor. As for the Pch.h files, those are pre...

Re: Crucible vs. Bitbucket for Code Review

Yeah, I didn't really expect Cyan to stray from Subversion, especially at this point. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the intended use of Crucible vs Bitbucket pull requests, but couldn't the code review be done on Bitbucket, and then the entire BitBucket pull request imported as a single diff into Cruci...

Re: Crucible vs. Bitbucket for Code Review

it avoids the issue of committing a change to the repository before it gets review exposure, so it doesn't have to be patched out I don’t see why this is an issue. On the contrary, by committing the change to a repository before it gets reviewed, you ensure that what’s reviewed is exactly what’s go...

Re: Proposed Open Source License update

This licence looks good to me. I've opened an issue on GitHub for our contributors to approve relicensing: https://github.com/H-uru/Plasma/issues/81 There's a separate issue for Python contributions (since it's a different repository with different contributors): https://github.com/H-uru/moul-script...

Re: Unicode Changeset

Adam and/or Branan, When I commit the merged patches back to the CWE-ou repository, the individual identities of the contributors will be placed in the changegroup log, since there can only be one "author". Do you have a preference for the author name for such commits? I was simply going to use " H...

Re: Licence violations and incompatibilities

According to http://docs.python.org/license.html the Python 2.7 license is GPL compatible.

That list of credits/legal should also include Jani Kajala (and by including that, it possibly resolves the licensing conflict with pfStackTrace stuff).
