Re: The numerous multi line "int" to "bool" performance warn
Yes I know....... Lucky for me Plasma is more a hobby then any dire necessity, but it does prove the point of what I said earlier. If you define something int someone some where is going to use it as int even when it's meant to be bool. Stupid programmers. Plasma is without a doubt better off ...

Re: Kick command proposal
Just my 2 cents. If I was forced to choose I would side with the version that (as discussed previously in this thread) cleans out any lingering invites as well. I still say "Kick" is the single most abused function in every single game I've ever played that includes it, but removing the invites make...

Re: Standing Jumps (split from Minkata Shard Updates)
Hehe........never could manage sky diving.
I'm a little jealous.
FYI you just gave me a rather terrible idea to try on poor unsuspecting players if I ever get server and story running.

Re: Standing Jumps (split from Minkata Shard Updates)
Err....your original post is the last one of page four. The spoiler tag in my post was to wrap what was me standing on a soapbox making a speech. Not everyone likes to read those sort of things so it's more politic to spoiler wrap them usually. As for "(maintainers guildmaster/gamemaster)" that's ju...

Re: Standing Jumps (split from Minkata Shard Updates)
 The code is willing but the Developers need more caffeine! As much as I am currently working with plasma I actually only have one or two project in mind that I would want ou to adopt so they get official eventually. Just a little mod, it rotates\scales\repositions models on level load obeying ...

Re: VS2010
Kinda figured playstation 2.......Some of the stubby code matched my old ps2 linux kit's code base. Still freaking mad at the thief that stole it from me. Impossible to find and irreplaceable both described it ten seconds after it sold out originally; could have replaced it a few years ago via ebay ...

Re: Standing Jumps (split from Minkata Shard Updates)
No no I am actually rather fond of plasma it's still a very good Adventure game engine, I wouldn't say abandon ship. Just some healthy "Cautious Optimism" because the render pipeline is as complicated as the Moss servers; Just vertex related information rather then people related in the vault so to ...

Re: Standing Jumps (split from Minkata Shard Updates)
I wouldn't say the frame lock is a bug hiding bugs we may not fix, it's more of a leg cast letting you at least walk even if you want to run. my current favorite bit of insanity is. // There's a bug in NVidia drivers on Windows 2000 for GeForce1-4 (all flavors, including MX). // When the amount allo...

Re: Very general Moss question
Wow....thanks that is more or less exactly what I was looking for and needed.
Unix/Linux is not something I'm that comfortable with but this helps a lot on the "who did what now" sort of questions I was having.

Re: Standing Jumps (split from Minkata Shard Updates)
@Annabelle This is actually one of those things I am currently looking at for a future project on the Plasma engine. While people as mentioned above have had some success unlocking the frame rate updating things to current hardware is a non-trivial undertaking. Frankly this would need one person at ...
