Re: Minkata Shard Update Fri October 26 [Minkata.68]

Leader music is on the air. Note the Amber Horizons address above.

Update: Music works fine. I can't get to Minkata, however. Uru Launcher fails to find a file near the end of the update process, and quits. It used to work...

I've applied the updates. No problems, and the shard seems to be working fine.

Re: Stress Test set for February 18th

What are you saying, Tai? That Vinnie's pizza will cause people great stress? Or that it will be so popular that more than 200 people will try to get in? :) I hope the shard has a reliable source of power for the ovens. I also hope that while Ghaelen runs amok she doesn't pull a Madge and trip over ...

Re: Introductions for Shard Testers

Hi, folks.

I signed up today. There are much beta testas out there than I am, but I can provide a service that Tai thought might be useful: Get people dancing for a stress test! Yeehaw!

So, I'm here. KI #46924

I PMed Rarified on the MOUL forum, but PMs there seem to be rather flaky.

Re: Forum Moderator Issues

And then the moderators in another forum feel free to insult, criticise and belittle those they are moderating. How is one meant to deal with that sort of behaviour? What recourse do ordinary forum members have? That's when people start "voting with their feet," and simply leave. I've left various ...

Re: Forum Moderator Issues

I learned a lot of my forum practice at UO, during their more conservative period. I'd always wait for someone else to post in my sand sculpture thread, and then I could post new images. I'm glad I don't have to do that any more, because any thread dealing with personal art is going to be dominated ...

Re: Forum Moderator Issues

My approach to forum moderation comes from my desire for open and civil conversation. I realize those concepts often seem to be opposed, but I have seen examples. There have been some notable discussions on Uru Obsession that dealt with highly charged topics, and sometimes became pretty warm, but re...

Re: Forum Moderator Issues

I'm old, I'm crotchety, and I'm really tired of impolite people. Living in Los Angeles I know a lot about impolite people, and how easy it is for the general tone of personal interactions to be dragged into the gutter. It seems that one bad apple can spoil the bushel, but it takes a whole lot of goo...
