Re: Project: D'ni Social Area
Nexus podiums would be narrative specific - if this area was a theatre for D'ni's middle classes, which is my personal concept, why would the Maintainers have a direct link? BUT putting down Nexus books and books like Tsogal and Delin is a very good idea. I think the DRC could mess with the Nexus (...

Re: Project: D'ni Social Area
Well, I have ideas which may or may not fit with the thin outline - does that count? Has anyone ever tried to spec up Gemedet? With a 3D interface, it might be relatively simple to mock up and would provide a new flair to things. Normal games like chess and checkers would be good too, though (with t...

We're Alive
So... we've been quiet for awhile (not that you can tell, unless you're in the team*). However, we've got a new plan, working together with the team for Mi'Zhika . Joining the group now - well, probably it will be mostly through Mi'Zhika's team, or contacting one of us here. So yeah: - We've merged ...

Falling when walking around places like the broken areas in Kadish Tolesa... ...Very difficult areas, like the Gahreeson pillar jumps or the Kadish journey door... Your examples still seem to fall into the "walking, running, jumping" category to me, so I'm struggling to see how you're differentiati...

Re: A "no accident" or "assisted playing" mode
Yes, but I don't believe we're talking about opening a door or turning a dial here. Walking, running and jumping, seem to be actions that would (mostly) be in need of "assistance" and those are things that can be done exclusively on a keyboard. In some respects, despite what I said earlier, keyboar...

Re: A "no accident" or "assisted playing" mode
... (I'm not sure if there would be any way to get the same effect for keyboard controls). Hmm, well I'm a committed keyboard man, at least for Uru ;) but at the same time, I personally don't feel the need to use Marten's assisted mode. That's not to say I'm against Marten's idea - I think it's a u...

Re: A "no accident" or "assisted playing" mode
Perhaps the cursor would change to show the jumps or other assisted maneuvers. Then you'd know that if you clicked there, it would automatically jump or navigate past the sheer drop in the ground or whatever for you (I'm not sure if there would be any way to get the same effect for keyboard controls...

Re: User "approval" of proposals/suggestions
Gehn describes a good effort at trying to figure out what people are saying in a discussion thread. I agree the amount of work needed to do it justice and be accurate is considerable. But I'm not at all sure that much effort is needed. For instance, I like the idea of 'better hair' for AV's. Thread...
