Re: What needs to be done with the Plugin?
Wow this is a strange production pipeline. So did we not get the build server? We didn't get all of the materials Cyan uses for building MOULa. There still are parts that have not been open sourced (their server among them). But I would imagine that since MOULa is only one of the systems that Cyan ...

Re: Put the Python in the repo
Sorry A'moaca', I'm not trying to frustrate you. I've been intermittant because of work demands, and havn't had time to flesh out something coherent. I was hoping we could collaboratively explore the Crucible workflow (which I'm not familiar with either). I'm at work so all I can say now is I'll exp...

Re: Put the Python in the repo
Ok, on to the next step. It looks like the MOULSCRIPT-4 review is done, involving one file. Edit: It looks like the ball is back in D'Lanor's court for closing out the review, the progress bar shows 96% done. You'll need to click the Summarize button, don't need to add any additional comments if unn...

Re: Stuff that needs doing and updating
Hi Nye, Heres a couple of things that caught my eye: Once Mercurial is installed, boot up the TortoiseHg Workbench program. You should mention that TortoiseHg is a Windows-only implementation of the Mercurial client. It's the one we're recommending because it has worked well, but there are command l...

Re: Put the Python in the repo
D'Lanor, do these include all the GoW changes in their repo? I see 17 changesets there, and there are some file differrences between the two repositories, when your changes are accounted for. Mostly debug output but some others as well in these files: ./Python/philBookshelf.py ./Python/xChatChannelR...

Re: Stuff that needs doing and updating
Could you wait for my comments tonight before you post. You should flesh out some things, and specify others a little differently. I'm still at work so I can't comment much now.

Re: Getting the Ball Rolling
In Karl Fogel's Producing Open Source Software (JW had a link which I don't have time to search for right now), in Chapter two, there are some admonitions about using reviews to foster openness. In the experience he described, the value of reviews only became widely accepted after one of the team me...

Re: Participation from the Guild of Maintainers
Do you see the need for a seperate server for each new age, or one testbed for all in-progress ages? Does the original Writer expect to use the testbed (and therefore see other writer's ages?) We can set up permissions on bug tracking and code review to be limited to specific groups of individuals. ...

Donald Knuth: [Split from] Getting the Ball Rolling
Ok, this is an opening I cannot resist  Minor diversion ahead... I hope that we can also agree that none of us are perfect, that unless one of us is Donald Knuth that none of us write perfect code. Back in the distant past of my grad school years, Professor Knuth was still developing his ty...
