Content Development - Need to think about framework
Moving on from last night, because I think that that's a good idea (and there's practicing what you preach, which is also a good idea) - I've been thinking about how folks can organise open source content development. It's far trickier than code, because you're not dealing with tiny script files tha...

Re: Repository Structure
One thing that might not have been said yet is communication. An advantage of something like Git is pages like this: https://github.com/H-uru/Plasma/network Any developer can simply look at the network and go "Ah, so x is doing this, y is doing that". I'm not sure how that could be done here, other ...

Re: Information gathering to assist overview planning
Sweet lord, wall of text! :P I think that sorting out the repo stuff is important - the OU toolset's powerful but it's obvious that it needs some hammering. One thing that's needed is a simple way to monitor development amongst all branches, like how I've seen it done with Git. In any case - so basi...

Re: Information gathering to assist overview planning
[...] I’ve been doing some reading on progress and I am concerned about documentation and the lack of any particular break down of how or what each entity is working on and what the final goal is [...] Might as well punch in here with a quick bit of info on the GoW programmer's current work and aim...

That was actually a pretty interesting read. I wish I'd followed that staging before working on Llantern - things wouldn't quite be so disjointed then!

Re: Open Uru Site Styling and Organization (was Wiki Main Pa
Sounds about right. I would ask also that the forums get a small revamp. Merge the OpenUru.org and Open sections, and place that top. Merge Domain Development and Domain (OpenUru.org). I don't personally thing forums with lots of little boards is the right way to go about things, but it is true that...

Re: Put the Python in the repo
Anyway - I'm not a code developer, but I can give my opinion, I guess. The change is a good idea - like JWPlatt said, you should always be able to talk to someone who is talking to you. If it's one small step towards fixing the Ki, I'm all for it.
