KI Redesign
Not sure if this should go here or not. If not I'm sure someone will move it: Reposted from Guild Of Writers and Myst Online: So, this morning I wanted to do some work on redesigning the KI. Trying out various things etc. I decided to test a long standing theory of mine that we could enable a new st...

Re: Redistribution License
If all of the stuff Cyan cannot license is sound-related, that's fine. Unfortunately all the stuff Cyan cannot license is not sound related. There are a number of textures within the Avatar files that Cyan cannot license or use. (All the Turner, and UbiSoft related shirts and clothing options) thes...

Re: Content Licensing
Hmm... I guess we can ask, although from what I understand Chogon (who's most likely the person who'd need to prise that out from the archives) is pretty much snowed under with work right now so it might take time, assuming it is something they feel able to release. No rush. Just figured it would b...

Re: Content Licensing
I was perusing through the avatar documentation while trying to work out a way to animate that bone rigging so it doesn't take a decade to animate a single animation, and I came across something interesting. Cyan used a biped to animate their bones. When they released the rigging they did not releas...

Re: Fan Content On Minkata
Okay, I think it's a good time that I chime in, as I've always had an interest in how fan content is integrated into a shard. Over the years I've seen many good suggestions, and many IMO bad suggestions brought up on how to accomplish this goal. From a Nexus to a library to using the pedestals in th...

Re: Future MOULa updates
If we're thinking of a longer term before the next update perhaps we should start throwing out suggestions to Cyan for an update that will have a more visible impact for players than the under the hood stuff we've been working on so far. There has been discussion recently about clothing updates, wit...

Re: Visual effects: linking avatars and Linking Books
If you're in third person, you'd notice that the book never leaves the shelf. Each book has a slider, when you choose a linking book the lock opens (if its locked) the slider pulls the book out in front of you. Once you accept to link through the book, you link out and the book (still on the slider)...

Re: D'niWeb
You still loose the ICness because once Uru is minimized, what remains is a small button in the taskbar. How do you explain the "UruExplorer" without going OOC? The same way that you explain the "Explore Uru" in Relto's closet, (and its other mentions of Uru) or any of the "game settings" menus whe...

Re: D'niWeb
Heh, it's funny this should come up. I'm currently working on an addition to ChloesHoodOffice that allows just what we're talking about. The Desktop computer in the office, in future additions, will have a GUI associated with it, that when the user sits at the desk, they can turn on the monitor and ...
