Re: Forum Account Registration And Spambot Countermeasures

I have activated the account. Please post here with any other issues.

I was away for a week with absolutely no technology and no chance for contact of any sort - the way I prefer it. ;) I do this once a year. I'm sorry for the wait.

Thanks for the assistance, Christian.

Re: Media Content Player (VP8 versus libavcodec)

The intro video issue was raised on the MOULa forums, since it works on Ghen, and I posted something of a summary about this thread there. I hope I got it reasonably right. Cross-posting here: An open source audio/video codec was problematic. FFmpeg/libavcodec was initially proposed because it could...

To specify, cjkelly1 might not be aware that Openuru.org's Foundry recently began building the MOULa client instead of Cyan for distribution by the MOULa server.

Rarified will weigh in on your issue, I'm sure.

We also have the repos on BitBucket which Foundry mirrors.

Cyan Posts Plugin Binaries For Version 917

I posted an update to the MOULa Max plugins on cho. These are from build 917 - which is the last data build that was used for build 918. They are at http://cho.cyan.com/bahrowings/MOULaPlugins917.zip Thanks, Chogon AdamJohnso (Hoikas) importantly added: Please note that if you download this set of ...

You have all "All Application Packages" highlighted instead of "Users." On which did you set permissions?

Nice desktop background. ;)

Re: Minkata Shard Update December 14th, 2015 (Build 82, updated to Build 88)

First thing I'd try is to change "Users" permissions of the "Minkata Shard" folder to "Full control," as an alternative to running as admin, and see if it works. Tell us what happens. I would change it back to "Read & execute" if it still did not work, and try other proposed solutions here or from r...

Re: Client Update Concerns

Agreed, especially as it all relates back to "player retention," probably the most important aspect or mantra of your post. The barrier is too high with the DLL issue. I think the DLL issue was a surprise here. It was to me at least. It's possible we didn't test on systems where it would have been r...

Avast holds up execution the first time with a new update, then approves it and it runs.

I don't recommend Snortin' Norton. I wonder if Peter Norton has the same attitude about his old company and product as John McAfee has about McAfee: "I take it off." "It's too annoying."
