Re: Mantis Activity
Just curious, are we still using Mantis? I haven't gotten any bugs and I *know* my Ages aren't perfect.

Re: New MOUL Forum Rules 4-26-2010
We are off topic. What Cyan is doing, has done, or needs to do is for another thread... Preferably outside SD&D. This thread is intended for discussion of how to moderate a Zero Tolerance policy. Ian has written his view of some of the linking problems an a MOUL post. Slightly confused on what you ...

Re: New MOUL Forum Rules 4-26-2010
OK. Common sense will suggest that Cyan knows what is a commercial issue for them better than us fans. So let's try to put that argument to one side and focus instead on what positively CAN be done with the situation as it is. I'm not sure that's true. Cyan has shown, particularly in times when the...

Re: New MOUL Forum Rules 4-26-2010
I propose calling Uru: CC "MOULOa" Myst Online Uru Live Offline Again. :P Seriously, even IF it were a commercial issue (which I believe it isn't the case) Cyan should have told us why. Especially considering Offline Uru "hacking" is the key to getting things working in MOULa. Also considering the "...

Re: New MOUL Forum Rules 4-26-2010
The rules have been improved slightly. The allowing of discussion about MOULa "hacks" being one improvement. However, the rules still have the simply nonsensical taboo against referring to other Uru "hacking." The rule doesn't appear to have been thought through very well. It would have been nice to...

Re: A Discussion of Veiled Insults and Paranoia
One can use 'disingenuous' where the definition objectively fits. I'm not one for preserving self-esteem above all where it isn't deserved. But I would say the insulting, habitual overuse of this and other words like "silly," "nonsense," "stupid," and and "whiners" are worse when they are simply us...

Re: P2P - Player to Player Enforcement
Well, the chat anomaly thing already exists because the existing /ignore already does this.

Re: P2P - Player to Player Enforcement
Obviously Cyan can't/isn't going to do this. They can't staff ResEngs and they likely never will (I see Uru's future in the fans with Cyan working on profitable products). Public /kick only makes sense for admins (they already have this power). Now, the enhanced /ignore should be ubiquitous just lik...

Re: P2P - Player to Player Enforcement
As I believe kaelis pointed out, feeding the griefer mentality doesn't really matter. The fact is, what would you rather do: sit on Relto/a private Age with a griefer while he... griefs you, or be kicked to your Relto, know the person is a griefer, /ignore him, and move on with your day? Personally,...
