New Greeters Voice Chat?

I think Paladin made an excellent point in the former thread. In many cases, voice chat is horrible sound quality and not everyone we'll be greeting speaks English. And sometimes, they may not even have voice chat enabled on their end, so it would defeat the purpose. It's easier to read (and translate) text then to try and figure out what someone is saying over a mic. That and for chatlog purposes, text is necessary for a complete log.
So yeah, voice chat is probably only really needed as a last resort.
