trouble logging in after new update

hi
Just tried to enter game and after down loading files a uru launcher box appears. saying( Unable to create file. Hard drive may be full)
my hard drive has plenty of room as in hundreds of gigabytes free.
I tried del tos file and it gave me the same message. thanks for all you do . Jaytee

Did you copy the files over from MOULa to a Minkata folder?

I was under the impression the new updater took care of those things ?

I am on now
I copied the dat ,avi,stx, folders from moula folder to minkata folder.
still would not let me in.still got same message.
so I ran as admin , and the uru launcher bar would go for a while than the uru launcher would crash.
so I kept doing that until the bar made it all the way(about 6 times)
than the login screen came on and I am in.
maybe there is a problem with my uru launcher?

The inability to create a file sounds more like a permissions issue. If the password cache fix is in on Minkata, I wonder if Windows didn't like an adjustment it might make to that file or one of the user folder files.

By the way, my antivirus - Avast - complained about the first time with the update, but determined it was okay. I was able to log on. But now UruExplorer does crash. We'll look into it.

Just as an additional confirmation, the update worked fine, it turned to Minkata.78, when I entered my password and hit enter for proceeding to the Eula it switched back to Minkata.77 and a few seconds later just vanished ... that happened twice ... :P

I'd like to add, my Avast didn't complain ... :)

That maybe tends to suggest that the patcher updated itself but didn't actually update the client executable. If there's a version mismatch then it will drop out. Maybe some error in the manifests? I haven't got round to trying myself yet.

In answer to Jaytee, the Minkata patcher works the same way the main MOULa client works, but since there's no licence to serve the game files they need to be manually copied from your MOULa folders if they get changed. I think the Ghen shard uses an updater that copies files for you (or otherwise uses the MOULa files), but we're trying to stay aligned to the main MOULa client. I usually just go into the MOULa DAT folder and sort by date, then copy the newest files to my Minkata install.

thanks Mac for that explanation. I just copy and paste the whole folder.
my uru launcher is not working this morning!
just starts than goes poof! And a windows box comes up with program has closed
I'll play with it after breakfast pancakes are waiting.

FYI After yesterday's AGM I launched Minkata and it updated without incident and I was in game for 10-15 minutes running around. Today, when I launch Minkata I am seeing the same problem as janaba and Jaytee. Thanks for your efforts!

I think the Foundry (where Minkata is hosted) might be having accessibility problems right now since I can't get to anything on the foundry.openuru.org domain very reliably... It could be a DNS issue, the server might be having problems or the firewall could be playing up. On the other hand, I was able to get the update OK (but slowly) then UruExplorer crashed as others have reported. The dialogs do seem to hop between reporting "Minkata.77" and "Minkata.78" and back, suggesting something is not quite set up right.
