Avatar deletion

Post by jamie marchant »

Hi:
At the AGM one of the coders said that the avatar deletion issue was fixed in Minkata. If this the case then I am still having the issue. Clicking while waiting for the confirmation box to display results in deleting the wrong avatar. Hitting cancel also makes 2 avies selected.

I'll look into it tonight. My first reaction is pilot error that the Minkata server wasn't properly updated. But give me a little while to check it out.

Thanks,

Jamie,

What avatar name did you use on Minkata?

I just looked and it seems from the behavior that the fix is on Minkata.

I've got a query in to Chogon now, I'll post when he gets back to me.

They where "exp1", "exp2" and"exp3". They are default male avatars made for the experiment. I swear when I deleted "exp3" and rapidly clicked "exp2" ended up being deleted. There was a moment when I could not click but that was when the confirm dialogue was up and not between dialogues.

Chogon tested it on Minkata and indeed the fix is missing.

I’ll go back through the build process and figure out where the missing link is.

Thanks for checking, and ... “I’ll be back!”

well done, Jamie!

rarified, if you want people to test on Minkata, please post here - I wasn't able to get to the AGM and by the time the chat log had appeared, where you said you wanted testers, Jamie was already onto it and had discovered that the fix wasn't working. So I missed my chance :( All these months with nothing to test, and then I miss it!

Don't worry, another chance coming up in a couple of days!

As always, looking forward to your input Treehugger!

The culprit has been found, sent back to Source Code Management school, and a new build is underway.

Minkata will get updated this afternoon, barring unforeseen collisions with a bus.
