Automated Daily Offsite Backups

Few think about backups until a site goes down for lack of them. I just want to give folks the assurance that we did think about backups and are performing them automatically via bash scripts and Rsync. It has worked flawlessly since day 1 (shortly after April 1, 2011).

I originally made this a ToDo during development of the open source CWE release project when things became important to protect. That ToDo, among others now locked, is here in the CWE Management forum: viewtopic.php?p=3845#p3845. Since then, and for a long while now, that job was completed.

The following domain resource databases are fully and automatically backed up nightly at 1:00 AM server local time and copied off-site to a different server.

Hesk - Our support/help desk ticketing system.
Mantis - Our simple solution to issue tracking.
phpBB - Our forums.
Squee - Our <???>.
Wiki - Our wikipedia.
Blogs - Our Wordpress blogs.

Foundry - 00:00 MT
Repositories - In addition to local Foundry backups, the MOSS, CWE, CWE-ou, MOULSCRIPT and MOULSCRIPT-ou repos are mirrored to Bitbucket at 03:00, 09:00, 15:00, and 21:00 MT.

What's not backed up:

Projects (e.g., websites on subdomains) are responsible for their own backups. OpenUru.org disclaims all responsibility for projects hosted here except for what they maintain in the above shared domain resources.
