Courtesy of Mac_Fife, spoiler tags are now available on the posting page.

Use spoiler tags to hide text and images.

Thanks, Mac!

A caveat and a comment:

Caveat: The spoiler tag doesn't support "nesting" of spoilers (spoiler tags inside other spoiler tags). Additionally, you can't change the "SPOILER" text displayed in the heading to anything else :( .

Comment: These spoiler tags are implemented using custom BBCode tags: This means that they meet JW's criteria of not modifying the phpBB distribution code (for ease of applying software updates). It also means that it can't be quite as clever about reading and manipulating the post content as some of the other methods, hence the caveat above.

So long as you're aware of the restriction, you shouldn't have any problems ;) .

Example:
Spoiler
This is a spoiler and there's an image included in it too: Image
The spoiler tag doesn't support "nesting"
But, you can use other tags inside spoilers (and around them)

Just making sure that since:
Spoiler
phpBB has been updated to 3.0.8, including language packs.
spoilers still work.
{spoiler}I'm sure Mac_Fife would have caught it if they didn't.[/spoiler]

Ohh, another caveat? Only one spoiler per message?

Typo - "{spoiler}"

1 -
Spoiler
I'm sure Mac_Fife would have caught it if they didn't.
2 -
Spoiler
I'm sure Mac_Fife would have caught it if they didn't.
