Line? ... I turned the flat circle-key into a rounded wire...
The emboss sort of does the same thing to the circle-key. I used a Filter/Light Effects for more control.

The dark part gives it a strange look. Probably because of the light direction.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts about the dark edges to the cricle-key in the image on the right, but I was wondering how to describe it - Kind of like it's wearing eye-liner
