OpenURU foundry host downtime this weekend

Post by rarified »

Assuming the trainers at my gym don't succeed in destroying me by saturday I'd like to take the host foundry.openuru.org offline for a couple of hours on Saturday 4/25/2010, starting at 3pm (1500) MDT for patching and maintenance.

This machine hosts most of the evaluation groupware (jira, openproject, dotproject), hudson, and other specialty tasks.

In the best case where all patches apply flawlessly and the system reboots happily, downtime would probably be about 30 minutes. If I have to back something out to get the system up, it could take a couple of hours. I'll post status here as things progress.

If people have strong opinions about when I should schedule maintenance windows, please respond with your suggestions.

Thanks
