JIRA and browser compatibility

Just a couple of things I thought were worth recording:

On the Supported Platforms page for JIRA, Note 6 says that FireFox 3.6.0 has a bug that can cause data loss in JIRA and users should upgrade to 3.6.2 or above (3.6.15 is the current version).

Internet Explorer 8 is supported, but when I use that I keep getting a warning strip appear, that tells me that "Internet Explorer 6.0 is not a supported browser." This doesn't happen with IE 7, however. I presume the User Agent string is used to determine the browser type. This may just be an oddity on my machine, unless anyone else can confirm this.
