Projects now running under Jenkins Continuous Integration

Post by rarified »

I'm pleased to announce that the OpenUru Foundry continuous integration Jenkins system is now up and operational.

The first project configured for automated builds is the OpenUru fork of the Cyan Worlds Engine (CWE). This is just a sanity build that confirms that the CWE-ou repositories contains program source that will successfully build. As the build flow is enhanced, Jenkins will start generating Doxygen documentation that will be accessible via the Foundry website.

Builds for projects configured with Jenkins will be rebuilt as soon as a change is checked into the associated repository. Shortly, I'll configure Jenkins to make the build artifacts (the program binary files) available for downlload from Jenkins. These currently are just the executable programs, they are not bundled together with an installer program, and they are not configured to connect to any specific server. We'll start building a version of CWE for a test shard shortly.

The home page for the Jenkins system is http://foundry.openuru.org/hudson. Feel free to navigate around, almost every icon is a link somewhere. You can examine the console output from builds as well as build history, compilation warnings and errors, etc. More information about Jenkins (previously named Hudson) and continuous integration was discussed in this thread.
