Q&A: Can we host ASP pages?

No. OpenURU.org is on a Linux server. It is a "LAMP" setup.

OpenURU.org is willing to provide CName DNS redirection to your own server to have it appear on the OpenURU.org domain if you already have something running on a Windows server.

If you are insistent on using your ASP, .NET, Access Databases, COM objects, you have the following options:

1. Don't use the code or database. (Most likely not an option)
2. Re-program ASP .NET in CGI, PHP or another scripting language that is Linux compatible.
3. Convert the pages to PHP by using Microsoft’s conversion tool.
4. Find a Windows hosting company and do your project there.

#3 would be a reasonable choice. Here is a link for a conversion tool: http://asp2php.naken.cc/

As for Access Databases, you can convert them to MySQL by using this link: http://www.bullzip.com/products/a2m/info.php
