Second Life is testing Havok 7 on their preview grid... well one server in the preview grid.

Not much news on it yet. THERE.com had much better vehicles than SL. May be this upgrade will help out in that regard.

Crossing sim (server) boundaries is the big problem I find on SL or OSgrid. 'There' seemed to have a lot more land on each server -- albeit mostly empty terrain. It meant you could fly or drive for miles without having to cross a boundary onto another server -- though when such a boundary was crossed, you were liable to be thrown off your hovercraft or whatever.

On NWN they have a video up of the new Havok 7 on the preview grid for SL.

Fun With Physics: Cool Demo of Havok 7 in Second Life

If ODE is only capable of 50 collisions, which I heard some where, and Havok can do this... wow.

I've seen some videos of PhysX... Is it just me or are both Havok and PhysX way ahead of ODE?
