I think we need a section here in Open Source for Stories.

I see the DRAEC (D'ni Research, Ages, and Exploration Committee) is a new IC, I think, group that is starting up. At this point no one can know how this will turn out. But, it is an experiment worth at least watching.

I've seen posts popping up on forums trying to draw attention to this DRAEC website/group. I found it odd that they felt their first posts needed to be defensive about who/what they were and when I looked at the website a day or two ago, it gave me the impression of being a two-person outfit, with one of those people having recently withdrawn. I may well be wrong .

I've got nothing against people setting these things up, but I did wonder if it'd get the kind of response that was hoped for, because the scope for this group seemed to me like it was cutting across fields already served by several well-established groups

Why wouldn't Writer's Club fit the purpose?
