ToDo: Mercurial repo for MOSS

Post by rarified »

A'moaca' asked if we could set up an Hg repo for MOSS to be consistent with CWE. Sure, will put that together sometime today. I don't see any content in the Subversion repo so should I just remove that?

Yes, I haven't used the subversion repo at all. We'll want a JIRA whatsit for MOSS too. Thanks!

MOSS mercurial repo is now available at http://foundry.OpenUru.org/hg/MOSS. A'moaca' has R/W access, the rest of CWE has R/O access for now.

HTTPS access is also available.

And the JIRA MOSS project has been defined, A'moaca' is the lead. Fisheye knows about the MOSS repository.

Related questions:

MOSS isn't in the All Projects list in Fisheye. Should it be?

Will people be able to browse MOSS or CWE in Fisheye or the Hg URL without logging in, after the release?

My omission, will get it in soon.

This is a per-project option. If you want it for MOSS, command me -- it will be done :). For CWE, we may want to find Cyan's preference. JW?

For CWE, yes, public browsing. I think that's done pretty much everywhere in open source. But if the client is adding any kind of data - e.g., create an issue, request support - authenticate. Our throttle is only a temporary exception to this and that should be on MOSS as well.
Perfect speed is being there.

What JW said. Oh, not sure you need to worry as much about throttling MOSS though. It's only 6.66 MB (whoops! :)).

Will be done.

Please assume I will take a conservative stance on such things as access until otherwise requested. While I know the freewheeling open source customs very well, I have to leave such decisions to the contributors or owners. I'm merely a trustee in the grand scheme of things.
