The WS_THICKFRAME style makes the border resizable. I've just commited a change to remove both that and the maximize box. I think the close button is fine, but it should bring up the quit dialog as opposed to immediately destroying the window.

janaba,
I'm unable to reproduce your other issue with the bottom bar. Is it always missing in windowed mode or is it intermittent? Have to dig further on this one.

Excellent. As far as usability goes, this is up there with cut/paste and working JPGs.

Nope, this never happened to me in my whole Uru life lol ... The issue first appeared with this update ... I've been
logging in a few times already before and I just linked to the Cavern again to be sure, but this 'Quit/Options bar'
remains unavailable in windowed mode constantly ... I also went somewhere else, to the hood, to see if this might
be Relto code related, but it remains missing ... (yeah, layman's thoughts lol) ... :P

Should I file a ticket or is it ok to just offer the today's 'Phyton and UruLive logs' here, this is a very small zip file
as I just logged in to test this issue again ... Maybe anyone can see sth. already at a glance ... :D

Run the client and make your mouse disappear as you have before. Then move your mouse down until your cursor is visible again in Windows, below the Uru client window. Move the mouse slowly back up into the Uru client window so that you would estimate that it is in the bottom bar region. Does the bottom bar come up? I can estimate where the mouse should be and the bar will rise for it. I can click on the exit option with my invisible cursor if my estimate of its location is good.

Haha, this one always has to do as the taskbar is in the way lol ... one always has to slowly, sensitively
move the mouse/cursor over that section until the bar slowly appears, but that isn't the case anymore ...

I don't use that option very much anyway ... it's ok for me to go over F4 and quit with Alt+F4 ... I thought
it'd be interesting for you to know, cause you now know that sth. is behaving strange ... :D

I just logged onto the Gehn Shard to be absolutely sure lol and now I'm in MOULa and on both shards
I have my taskbar in the way, but when moving the mouse over it, the two bars, Relto/KI + Quit/Options,
pop up ... The Gehn Shard has a Win7 taskbar integration coded, maybe that's why, I dunno, but in MOULa
it works too ... :P

Edit: My own taskbar comment and the fact that those bars are available in fullview mode gave me the idea
to log in again and hide the taskbar ... et voilà, it is all back again ... So, now make of it what you will lol ... :D

I only get the disappearing cursor if I resize the window by dragging an edge, but Skoader's latest commit ought to resolve that issue and it's otherwise working very well now.

I'm unable to reproduce Janaba's issue with the bottom bar at all, unless I'm misunderstanding the problem. Even with the invisible cursor or with the taskbar masking the lower edge of the client window the bottom bar gadgets still pop up whenever the pointer gets close to them. This is maybe machine specific and I wonder if it's graphics driver related - possibly something to do with Z-plane order?

That commit looks good to me (theoretically and experimentally), I’ve taken the liberty of merging it into the Minkata repository without a separate pull request. You committed it onto the branch of #18, so I guess we’ll just treat it as an update to that. It’s a welcome addition, as I too have found that the really freed mouse made it much easier to inadvertently resize the window, losing the cursor in the process. Thanks!

Does that mean that your issue of an Uru window in the background catching clicks that should go to a window in front has disappeared too?

Tomorrow is the AGM. I plan to be there. Anyone here planning to speak about the stuff that we’re about to move from CWE-ou-minkata into CWE-ou (to be hopefully picked up into MOULa by Cyan on the next update) and the physics update that will come later this month and will need as much testing from the community as possible, or shall I?

I intended to be there to discuss the update and content. If you could do the update portion, that would be a big help. I was also thinking of including some caveat about the physics and skydivers. I'd be happier if you addressed that instead. ;) Definitely mention your comment about being able to kick leaves again.

I'll be there as well, but I'm happy to have you present the current updates and pending physics stuff.

One caveat that needs to be mentioned is the change in the resource management on the client (the new resource.dat file) needs to be vetted through Cyan as workable in their build and server systems. We should probably give Chogon a heads-up on that to see if there will be problems with that; I don't know how many other updates depend upon that contribution.

I haven't replicated the problem in build 61 even when going through the same steps that would repeatably trigger it in build 60, so I would say, yes, that issue is gone too :) .
