I wiped Gahreesen and re-did the age. All the jumps that are meant to work, do - and the lifts too. The cones and other kickables are OK. You can climb up the rubble to reach the higher floor without difficulty.

I couldn't jump out of the annoying fissure with the relto page at the foot - I know you're not meant to be able to, but it would be nice to have!

BUT - and I'd appreciate a second opinion - it seemed much harder than before to get into the gap in the spinning cog wheel - I seemed to get pushed out again - and once I got in, to jump down into the power room - this took more than one try too. I don't remember ever having problems with these manoeuvres on Minkata, or MOULa.

As has already been noted, I used my existing avatar to link into my completed 4th sphere in Ahnonay (statue of Kadish). The avi immediately panic links back to relto. Linked into Kadish's control room in Ahnonay with my shell marker in the relto book and my avi immediately panic links. I have not tried a new avi yet.

Yep, I'll agree with that. And when you turned around you end up with a different camera viewpoint.

EDIT: Although, I am reminded that we have seen that behaviour with the previous physics. Often, leaving Gahreesen and then returning would clear the issue - I just did that and got into the crack first time. I also have a vague recollection (maybe someone can confirm or refute this) that sometimes standing right up at the face of the moving wall was a problem and staying a step back helped with getting into the crack.

Anyway, it'd be interesting to know if this issue now quite common or just the odd case.

Yep, confirmed that just now. I'm going to test it, but I don't think you even need to do anything to get turned around when the opening arrives.
Edit: Confirmed: just standing there at the cog, the avatar gets turned around when the opening arrives.
I was able to get into the cog by using first person, but can't use that once inside (even after checking the "Stay In First Person" box), so I could never get through.

That should be a wiki page that everyone can edit. You're missing quite a few important testing points that I've found throughout my amateur physics hacks.

Agreed. Any chance you could copy that doc onto the OU wiki for us and add whatever you want, Adam? Then post the url for all to use?

Some folks have trouble with wiki editing. If it turns out the wiki is too difficult, we might have to use an alternative. We don't want anyone accidentally deleting a bunch of work. The wiki, at least, is recoverable.
Perfect speed is being there.

This has always ALWAYS been true! This is something I've been able to easily do in CC physics. With MOULa's physics, it is a little harder, but still quite possible without having to try too hard!

This is how I always do Gira now at this point, with only one basket, then running along the edge. (on every version of Uru that I've been to)

Okay, so, I can't get into Minkata. Each time I start it up, after updating, I get the error that the file "d3dx9_27.dll" is missing and that I should reinstall it. I can't find it in my normal URU install, so I'm assuming It's something to do with the physics update? If so, why didn't it install when I deleted the TOS?

This is a common problem related to differences between the version of DirectX 9 that goes with the currently avaliable SDK and the version that was around when Uru was first released. You'll find the solution in the Knowledge Base articles here (it should be the top article): http://support.openuru.org/

I am slightly confused though because you write as if you've had Minkata working previously? This is usually only an issue for first time users.

I did have it working before. *sigh* It's probably because I upgraded my Operating system in-between Minkata visits. -_-;

EDIT: Okay, got it working now. Though I'd like to mention a curious bug that I've encountered on here (just now) and MOULa in a recent new avvie run. My KI, filled up with green markers, is still showing new markers when I run past the undiscovered ones. I've dared not try collecting them with my KI full of Greens, so I don't know what would happen if I tried collecting them, but I can imagine it would be bad if an explorer collected more than the required 15 green marker and ran short on the reds. This is something I'll look into in a while.

Also: Kickable leaves seem to work great- when I can kick them. Some of them don't seem to want to be kicked very easily, though that's true of most leaves in general. Fairly accurate leaf-like action there, then.
