I'll let Tai' make announcements elsewhere, but to let you all know ASAP:

I have set up a music stream for Minkata testers to enjoy. The stream is up and running right now at http://rel.to/martenmusic

The program on this stream is divided into 4 phases, and it should repeat exactly once before concluding just before 12:45PM Cavern Time on Saturday, 27-Oct-2012. At that time, I believe the event Tai has been talking about organizing will begin and there might be another stream for people to tune into. 8-)

All times are Cavern Time, and approximate.

The first 15+ hours of the stream is a randomized assortment of contemporary artists.
First pass: ~ 11:33PM 22-Oct-2012 - 3:00PM 23-Oct-2012
Second pass: ~ 6:05AM 25-Oct-2012 - 9:33PM 25-Oct-2012

The next 14 hours is a selection of game and movie soundtracks. This is linear, and will progress through all songs for the game/movie before proceeding to the next.
First pass: ~ 3:00PM 23-Oct-2012 - 4:55AM 24-Oct-2012
Second pass: ~ 9:33PM 25-Oct-2012 - 11:28AM 26-Oct-2012

After that is about 14 hours of Celtic / Folk music. This is also randomized.
First pass: ~ 4:55AM 24-Oct-2012 - 6:48 PM 24-Oct-2012
Second pass: ~ 11:28AM 26-Oct-2012 - 1:21 AM 27-Oct-2012

Then the program switches to an 11+ hour broadcast of music and interviews from a certain recent trilogy of movies.
First pass: ~ 6:48 PM 24-Oct-2012 - 6:05 AM 25-Oct-2012
Second pass - 1:21 AM 27-Oct-2012 - 12:40 PM 27-Oct-2012

Hopefully this arrangement is enjoyed by testers in all time zones around the world. :)
The music is reversible, but time is not.

Wow!!! This is really awesome ... Welcome back, Marten ... 'on the surface' and more tangible
for all of us, I mean ... at the back of the stage you seem to be more active and present still ... :P

I'm just listening in ... great music, thanks for the upliftment and steepening incentive ...
I hope you'll be able join us for the great test event, and I hope your life is as you wish it for you to be ... :D

AND I don't want to forget to welcome back you, our sweet Annabelle ... It's great to have you in our midst again ... :)

Edit: Awesome playlist, Marten ... very carefully selected and hand-picked pieces, but this is just you, Marten ...
Can't wait to listen to your celtic/folk music selection ... :P

OK I found a show stopper for me ! when I went to change resolution from 800X600 to 1024x768 (4:3) My screen went side way AArg ! and its a real prob. to get it back to 800x600 the mouse pointer moves real strange ! I quit then then re started the game and the game was still side way I have not submitted a ticket on this yet (lack of time ) but will investigate more and do so I just wanted to see if anybody else has this prob . or has tried to change resolution

Hey sut, I just logged in specifically to try this and didn't have any problems. I wonder if other things contributed to it. Were you in Windowed mode? (I didn't try that.)

I just did the same, I switched from windowed to fullview mode and back and within
both modes I changed to many different resolutions beginning with 800x600 and up,
and it worked perfectly well ... :P

I've been fiddling with resolutions quite often recently, and never had any problems with it at all... Are you running full screen or windowed? If it's full screen have you tried forcing your monitor to auto detect the video mode again?

Or (harping back to a very old 'in joke' between myself and sut), are you sure you've got enough RAM?

LOL Yep mac I have enough ram!!( glad to see your memory has not started failing ) well may be not 4 gigs is small these days . I have been in playing with my resolution and its weird, sometimes it does it and sometimes I have to go up to the next highest res. but I still can get it to go side way's I am running in full screen but if I go to windowed mode it fixes the screen. (back to normal) I will go see on moul and see if it happens their brb!! Back well it seems to be on my end cause it happens there also GRR May be its this old stone age monitor ( CRT ) or the lintel graphics built into my processor

I'd suspect the monitor, which why I suggested trying to force a detection of the video mode. Running windowed, you'll always be driving the monitor at the same resolution/video mode hence the way it seems to "fix it" - it's just the window size that changes with different resolutions. But in full screen, your display adapter will actually change mode. If your monitor doesn't autodetect or otherwise "know" about the mode it can end up with the default settings for horizontal position, frame height, etc., all being way off. On my very old and long since retired 17" CRT I had to set the display up manually for every different mode since it'd didn't autodetect. Once it had been set once it'd remember it next time that mode appeared.

It's not your integrated Intel HD graphics - I've got that for my second display and it works fine.

And depending on the version of WIndows, 4GB of RAM might be all you could use anyway ;).

We've received fixes for a number of the reported bugs, so time for more testing!

The update is covered by a new topic here. Once you're using the new client, please post new experiences under that topic.

Thanks!
