Minkata Update 2020.06.23 (Big News!)

Need I say more? This is what we’ve worked for over the last ... decade?
Minkata has been updated to include the first fan contributed ages from an intrepid artist, Doobes the Determined.
I know the unveiling of his ages has already occurred on Gehn with great fanfare. But I consider this step just as significant a milestone in the path to deploying fan content on the real MOULa servers. I now have confidence that the game client present on MOULa, and these ages are playing well together.
This is the last step before sending the age content to Cyan. I’m asking as much of the Uru community as we can muster to visit Minkata in the next couple of weeks, both individually as well as in groups. Wander both existing Uru ages as well as the new content, and really give things a workout. It is my goal to make sure what we deliver to Cyan slides into the official server without any issues, no matter how small.
When that time comes, I assure you I will make a post as soon as I hand off the new content.
With that said, here is what has been added. The Watchers’ Pub (reachable from the Nexus) has been altered to open one of the previously closed alcoves, and has a new linking book on a pedestal. That alcove is the one directly behind you when you link into the Pub. This book will take you to ChisoPreniv, a library that can be used to contain linking books to fan ages. Those of you who have explored these ages on Gehn and Minkata-alpha will know what to do from there. Those who have not, enjoy your exploration of the library.
The library has been designated as a non-instanced age, so everyone will link to the same place. You can bring friends along to meet there. I am hoping (and encouraging) Cyantists, past and present, to visit as well. Perhaps you may run into one of them.
If you have not signed up for Minkata, please see Tai’lahr’s layman’s guide to using Minkata here. It has a couple of outdated items (you no longer need to update DirectX yourself for example) but it gives a good outline how to get there.
As is usual with an update, please post issues and observations as replies to this thread. And thank you for your continued participation and patience.
