Minkata Shard Downtime Saturday, 2012.06.16 4pm US/Mountain
Posted: Fri Jun 15, 2012 9:13 pm
I'll be updating the Minkata shard on Saturday, June 16th to use the new content files from MOULa 1.912, as well as updated programs from the Minkata repositories now that we have merged source code reflecting MOULa 1.912.
Important: What this means to Minkata players: After Minkata returns from the Saturday downtime, if you had installed and played on the Minkata shard, you will need to update the files in the dat, avi, and sfx directories where you installed the Minkata client, with files obtained from a current MOULa installation. If you do not, the launcher program will fail with an error.
Refer back to the original instructions you received (here) when you signed up on how to update these files. You don't need to perform a new installation of the Minkata client, just copy the listed folders over the existing ones in the folder where you originally installed Minkata.
After copying the MOULa files just run your existing Minkata launcher program and the rest of the program and data files will be updated, and Minkata should launch.
I'll post a reply here when the update and downtime are concluded.
