I must be missing something, but I don't see Paradox's "Performance Improvements" anywhere in the commit graph. Indeed, we're still in the process of devising said performance improvements ;)

You're right, I was looking at a merged Fisheye view that included Huru, and missed the fact the commit was in the other repo. I'll edit the announcement. Thanks.

Some changes that rarified missed:
  • From D'Lanor:
    • Improve Big KI player list sorting
In the big (open) KI: - The age players list is now alphabetically sorted instead of distance sorted. - Alphabetic sorting is now case insensitive for the big KI player lists. This does NOT affect the left side lists of the mini (closed) KI.
How to test: Open the big KI and check sorting for all player lists.
    • Fix the fearless quabs bug
This bug does not appear to be fatal for the Minkata client, although it does produce annoying log messages. However, the combination MOSS and H'Uru client may result in fearless quabs which no longer respond to the vicinity of players.
How to test on Minkata: Client - Annoying log messages replaced with less annoying messages ;) Server - The KeyError should no longer clutter up the server log files.
More How to test information:
  • On boq – Allow plNotify…:
We cannot test that this fixes the bug on Minkata because we don’t have 16 million vault nodes yet (that’s no problem through, we have already tested that elsewhere), but we can test that it didn’t break anything else:
    • Upload stuff to imagers, preferably while others are watching
    • Just play the game – the changed code is involved in many places.

Is there any need, like the last time, to recopy some files from MOULa? I know that Chogon made some changes and I just want to make sure they're included in the new downloads for Minkata. Thx

No need to refresh files from MOULa this time: The update that Cyan applied recently only affected some Python scripts and not any of the age data files.

How to Verify: The avatar should now land on the ground from jumps as in PotS. Therefore, standing jumps produce a full landing, downhill jumps produce a blended landing based on how far down the avatar fell, and uphill jumps produce no landing.
Fail. Still no full landing from standing jumps. :(

Interesting. About two seconds after rarified posted, I went in and tested the standing jump in the hood fountain. I got the splishy splashy noise because the full animation worked. I also tried it on the floor. It also worked there. Bent knees and all. I did not test further conditions as I was quite happy enough and quit.
Perfect speed is being there.

It’s hit-and-miss for me too. This is due to an independent bug that causes the jump to abruptly end midway through. Possibly related to JIRA CWE-36, possible fix being discussed in pull request #9.

FYI The standing jump is not working for me either. I still get that screen jerk jump that we see in MOULa. On a positive note, thanks for the addition of the cut and paste feature.
