Allow me to explain the egg room bug: When you link to Relto from a closed egg room your chat will stay in the private channel you share with those inside the same egg room (not visible in the KI). Being in a private channel means that your chat in age player, buddies and neighbor mode only reaches those within the same channel. PMs still work normally.

This is a very sneaky bug. Suppose you are alone in an egg room, close the door and link to your Relto. After that nothing you say, except in PM, will reach the recipient. And what is worse, you won't have a clue what is going on. To you it would just seem as if everybody is deliberately ignoring you.

This bug should now be fixed on Minkata. Should you want to see this bug in action you can still evoke it on Cyan's shard of course. ;)

Let me rephrase that: Have another player, who is not in your recent or buddies list (and therefore "unknown" to you), add you as a "buddy". Then have that player send a message to all buddies. That player should appear in the "recent" KI list.

Are you sure you implemented "Unknown senders of buddy messages are added to the Recents lists"? We just tested this and nothing shows up.

I'll double check the sources used for the PAK against the Fisheye diff tonight when I have more time.

Just tested again and finished Eder Kemo/Gira AND submitted my first ticket haha ... A Net 6 error while attempting
to open the first vent ... I logged back in immediately and everything worked fine though ... I've attached the log and the picture ... :P

As you love errors lol you'll all like my log file as it contains many many errors lol, but my gameplay was as always
very smoothly and I could check off my list very easily ... ;)

I tried to create a capitalized Janaba which was correctly rejected ... The Bahro stone at the Ferry terminal wasn't there
as always (you can get that in the DRC hood cities and the dock page is there), I believe even in MOUL it was only there
sporadically, but the one behind the library (Kadish) is there now ...

I've tested the /save+loadcolumns commands, which worked perfectly (called test1 and test2) ...
The DRC vest is back, but maybe you all looked that already up haha ...
I cannot create marker missions yet ...

In Gira and in Kemo I've noticed a strange camera behavior ... When I jumped from the waterfall e.g. I stayed in
bird's-eye view and had to run around a lot and finally towards the volcano part of Gira to get a 'normal' view when
turning back ... and there were some more strange unfamiliar camera pannings, but nothing serious, I just didn't
remember that from MOULa ... Have to check again ...

Anybody who misses the feathers, they are collectable lol ... got them all haha ... /cheer ...

That's it so far ... :D

Turns out you are correct; the change is in the repository but was overwritten when the Security Fixes changeset from Cyan was merged back into the main branch.

I'll reapply the fix to the tip of the main branch of the Minkata working repository (MOULSCRIPT-ou-minkata) and rebuild the PAK tonight after the outage (cause by work on the firewall, not Minkata). When your changes are merged back to the released repository (MOULSCRIPT-ou) I can avoid the merge problem since the changesets will be in a different order.

I've built a new python.pak and installed it tonight at 7:30pm US/Mountain. Give it a try again for the buddy message fix.

Thanks. I have verified that the buddy message improvement is implemented. Now it can be tested. :) Testers should also keep an eye open for anything odd in buddy messaging because there is always a possibility that a change breaks something else, especially when it concerns the KI.

Dot and I just tested the Buddy message, and generally it's all working as expected but with one slight oddity:

I was in Phil's Relto along with ural who was at the book case (that may be significant as that was generating "on the surface" chatter). Dot brought in a new, unknown avatar at it's own Relto and sent me buddy chat. The new avvie appeared on my Recent's list as expected, but when I tried to /reply, the reply got sent to ural, even though his last "surface" message was well before the buddy chat came in :? .

Repeating the exercise, alone at my own Relto, /reply worked OK and in both directions. So, mostly working, but not quite 100%. Maybe some scope for some other folk to do more testing while in groups, with and without someone in a "surface/afk" condition.

/reply is not meant for buddy messages but for PMs. It replies to the last player who chatted to you in PM.

Edit: You may think that it worked with buddy chat in your subsequent tests but couldn't that have been a "false positive"? If you also chatted with the test subject in PM the "LastPrivatePlayerID" variable was probably populated at that point.
