After a looong afternoon and evening my report for my newly created avi (janaba2) is finally coming in lol ... :P

When I wanted to start posting my experiences here, I read through some postings again and Mac's
hint to Gahreesen led me to try again passing through that spinning wall 'while standing one step back'
and that's what got me through the crack and into the gear wheel room finally ... Yeah, so I felt tempted
to complete Gahreesen and then the rest of the whole 'Uru Prime' journey, which I did ...

In general everything went great so far, means, getting all the ages (books)and Relto pages and stones, jumping,
running, walking etc. ... Jumping is very much boosted somehow, which feels good, but
sometimes, e.g. to jump down to the lava in Gira was very difficult to avoid lol, you cannot get down there to
close that thingy with jumping, but apart from that it feels great and like flying ... Standing jumps and all other
jumps are great ...

Kicking stuff is also very much improved ... Logs and stones are not anymore glued to your feet, one can easily
move them almost like in real life, even two at the same time are easily movable ... Haha, and I have to say,
I really thought you were all joking about the kickable leaves in Kadish, but it was a great fun and surprise
for me to find that it really works lol ...

Ok, the ages ... Teledahn and Kemo/Gira worked perfectly well ... In Teledahn you can even walk up all the stairs etc.
without having to jump over all edges and ledges etc., which is not possible on other shards (did you solve that on Gehn?
I don't remeber atm) ...
Edit: I'd like to add that the fish traps in Gira and the stones in the Teledahn prison are very easy to move and to position ... :)

In Kadish everything worked perfect as well ... Gahreesen had the by others mentioned problem, not being able to just walk
into and get through that crack easily by a constantly walking forward movement anymore, but that's not really a problem, one
just has to find out how it works lol ... I can show you how it looks like the old way now, got some picks ...
Spoiler
You walk with constantly your finger on 'cursor up' against the wallImage
you're then suddenly inside and immediately ...
Image
... outside again lol ...
Image
Er'cana has the same issues as everywhere, but here very strongly atm ... The avi is walking without moving for a few seconds
(maybe 4 or 5) at the base of stairs and on ledges etc. ... I have a few pictures to show you some of the exact places where ...
Everything else went great in Er'cana ...

Except, ahh, I almost forgot, I was experiencing something funny in Er'cana, which I couldn't replicate anymore, so it seems
that it's not too important, but it happened and I show you with a picture lol ... When I took my backpack and wanted to go
down the ladder I couldn't and got stuck above that hole lol, I could run and jump, but I couldn't escape that situation and had
to Relto out ...
Spoiler
Image
Ahnonay was and still is the bummer for me lol ... D'Lanor would call that a show stopper haha ... :D
No, really, Ahnonay doesn't work for me at all anymore ... Not with my new and not with my old avi as well ... :?

When I link to my old Ahnonay, be it through the cloth or through the main page, I'm being reltoed out immediately ...
Spoiler
Image
Image
When I link to my new Ahnonay I see myself from above and there are no quabs ... When I switch to first person, I have a normal
view, but still no quabs ... The clock shows only one being on the island, but the spheres don't turn, when I try to link to Ahnonay
Cathedral ...
Spoiler

Image
I've tried this all again and again with both avis and with quitting Uru again and again ...

The first attempts of this I've saved to a zip file, if you like to have a look, or maybe I should
file a ticket ... The Ahnonay stuff starts at "17:18:43" btw. ...

Ok, I believe that is it so far ... That's quite something, but looks more than it actually is ... Minkata works also great for me btw.,
but I only did the first kiva, just for testing ... Yeah, everyone, let us all know if there's sth. to test specifically or so ... See you all
anytime soon or at that great party ... Good night for now ... :D

wow, congratulations, janaba, you've been hard at work here.

The only thing you mention that I can comment on is quabs - using one of my old avvies I checked the three basic Ahnonays, and I could swim, pull the lever and turn the wheel in the tower on the island and I had lots of quabs to chase. The rotation worked normally. But as you and others have found, when I used another avvie to link to the final cloth, I reltoed out immediately.

Thanks for conducting such a thorough test, janaba, that's really helpful :)

It'd be good if you could put the logs onto a HESK ticket - it makes them a bit easier for the devs to find and means we'll still have a copy if the one on MediaFire disappears for any reason.

If it is helpful then I'm glad and it was even more worth it ... I just submitted a ticket for Ahnonay (No. 108) ... :D

I only attached that UruLive log posted above with most of the above described things ... I didn't attach any
Python log or the UruLive log after 20:00 pm my time (18:00 log time/GMT), cause everything tested after
that time, completing the journey with returning the poles etc. and getting the Pods and other ages etc.
worked well ... :P

Various notes:
 • Tai'lahr mentioned some contests to make testing more fun. Details about those are here now!
 • The Meeting Place neighborhood has decided to hold their weekly “Funday” meeting on Minkata this week. As always, all visitors are welcome. Definite plans will be made on the spot, but the general idea is to solve an age together from start to end. Meet in The Meeting Place hood at 13:00 KI on Sunday Oct 21st, the event usually runs for about two hours.
 • I will occasionally be on the shard around 13:00 KI, if someone is looking for group test companions, but can’t make specific commitments on weekdays. Look for Christian Walther, KI 3032, and Lawreth Stirincha, KI 3434.
 • For cases when a real-time out-of-game communication channel is useful, during group tests or otherwise, don’t forget that we have an IRC channel. You can chat either in your web browser at http://rel.to/ou_irc or using an IRC client at irc://chat.mystlore.com/#openuru. I am there whenever I have time.

The collated observations on the updated physics behaviours is now available for community editing on the OU wiki: http://wiki.openuru.org/index.php?title ... te_Testing

If you're not familiar with editing wiki tables, then just keep posting your comments here and we'll get them copied to the wiki.

BTW: If you haven't used the wiki before, you don't need to register - just use the same login as you use for these forums (there are a few special cases where user names aren't compatible, like me with the underscore in my name, but we can sort that out for you).

With Ahnonay part 4 forcing people to link out right when they arrive there, it's actually kind of interesting...

It's all because of where the panic link region for Sphere 4 is loaded in space. When it goes wrong, it gets triggered before you are moved to the correct place for where you linked. The first 3 spheres are fine, but any area that involves Sphere 4 being loaded in is effected.

Thanks, Mac, I jumped on Sharper's bed and it seemed fine; and I rode the Gahreesen elevators, that also seemed fine.

Now I have something very special for you ... maybe you don't need that anymore cause anyone
of you is already working on any solution ... however, today I had the idea to create another avi,
janaba3, specifically to only and exclusively test the Ahnonay issue, which I did ... :P

I'd like to mention that on Sunday I also deleted Ahnonay two or three times to completely start over
again, but you'll see that in that log you already have ...

Ok, I've just created janaba3 and did nothing else than giving her a different appearance in the closet
than the standard version, then I immediately went to Gahreesen to get my KI number and from that
point I directly linked to the Nexus and to the Watcher's Pub to get my Ahnonay age ... before that, to
be sure that'll work, I grabbed the Er'cana age lol ...

I'm sorry to say that also this very new Ahnonay isn't working ... I get the same view from above, I jump
into the water to swim to the other side, link through to the Cathedral and nothing ... I grab my cloth, but
through that cloth nothing changes, except that the view is normal again ... THEN ... I ran through water
Ahnonay again, linked through the Cathedral and there they were, our quabs lol ... I started chasing them,
but at one point I fell into the water, yeah you know how tricky they are lol, and I linked out and in again
(didn't want to swim so much at that point anymore lol) and they were gone forever ... I tried everything
again, through Relto/Cathedral/cloth, but no chance ... :geek:

Yeah, and now, that's why I did that in the first place, to have a special log for you with only the Ahnonay stuff ...
And here it is, very tiny and small for the sake of more lucidity and clarity and convenience of course ...

What is not in the log, I once again logged in afterwards to see if really all my 4 Ahnonays wouldn't work, and
I can confirm once again that it is so ... You have the pictures already above, nothing changed ... I hope that
information helps and tells you anything ... :D
