Well, technically, there is the admin, but we know who does all the heavy lifting. ;)

So, what we really need to test this update is for someone to create a new account, right? I've sent out the call.

Thanks for the call, Tai'lahr...responding! (/me salutes)

Now, for all those who do respond, is it currently still necessary to follow rarified's updated instructions found on Page 3 of this thread?

Or have all issues been incorporated into a fix, and therefore the instructions in the OP should be followed?

(if the former, may I request that the Page 3 update be added to the OP so folks don't have to peruse the full 5-page thread or wonder which instructions to follow?)

thanks, everyone...especially rarified...."welcome back, here's your headache for the day!" ;)

You're not new! :P But, welcome back. :)

I'd recommend following the updated instructions, and if you have Win7, also run as admin.

Mods??? Plural???
I hadn't researched this when I used the plural, but since you raise it:

according to "the team" page memberlist.php?mode=leaders, while it's clear how all-powerful you are, Mac, moderating all the forums, the drop-down boxes show there are some other people listed as mods for the Minkata test shard - and not just for the signup page. I won't name names and cause embarrassment ;). But if they're not pulling their weight......

Hmmmffff. My weight has gone up a bit in the last few months.

A situation I am beginning to rectify! ;)

Try page 4 instead then sut ;) - viewtopic.php?p=8069#p8069

The error indicates that you don't have a fully up-to-date dat folder for the Minkata client. A few of us have been surprised to discover that our MOULa files weren't quite as fresh as we though they were, causing errors when they were copied to Minkata.

Does the shard absolutely have to be in the x86 folder? To save space on my PC hard drive, I've been running my Uru shards off of a flash drive.

Does that make a difference?
